  4. Skin lines

The firs sign of eczema at a glance is redness due to the inflammation it brings and is often characterized by itchy and dry skin that then leads to scratching and worsening of the eczema. You can also notice bumps and blisters all over which are sometimes coming with pus-filled sores. If you continue to scratch, them you will have lines and injuries from it.

Eczema at a glance: Where Does It Appear?

This skin irritation is often present in almost any body parts but some of them are specifically seen in some areas depending on your case. Typically, you are going to notice patches of itchy and dry skin on your neck, cheeks, faces, elbows, knees, scalp, and forearms.

Eczema at a glance: What Are Its Roots?

This may sound weird but in the 21st century, there is no answer to this question that up to this day and time, the cure is unknown. Usually, the culprit is an allergic reaction of the body from several triggers from the environment such as animal dander, meat, fruits, soaps, and other viruses. Some signs may also be aggravated due to the body’s immune system reaction when the body comes into contact with these triggers. Aside from that, environmental and temperature changes are also some of the causes of it especially during the early summer or winter months. It is well-advised that you employ a humidifier at home to keep the air moist.

Eczema at a glance: What Are the Treatments?

Most people depend on over-the-counter medications to cure their condition, but they are not typically effective. Some lotions and creams are purchased without prescription, but many of them are ineffective because some of them are worsening the condition even more. These lotions sometimes contain irritating ingredients such as sodium lauryl sulfate which is not good for eczema.

At first, they can reduce the symptoms but only for a short time; they don’t also cure the disease especially those made from chemicals. If you want to apply lotions and creams, it is best to settle with organic-based ones.

At worse, you can apply corticosteroids which can be prescribed by your health professional because they have side effects if used for a long time. They have burning and thinning effects on the skin. In addition, they also dilate your blood vessels which are not a good side effect as well.

Eczema at a glance: Conclusion

Learning about the overview of eczema helps you deal with your condition better. In the long run, it is still best to know its appearance, roots, and treatment. When it comes to cure, it is still best not to rely on medications like corticosteroids because they may just worsen your case in the long run; as a conclusion, know how to deal with your eczema during its early stages to avoid resorting to the use of these topical steroids.

Fitness Tip

The time taken on this part of your workout depends to a large extent on the temperature of your surroundings - the cooler the environment, the longer it will take to raise your body temperature.

Beauty Tip

In cosmetic-speak setting refers to fixing something in place so that it will last longer. Powder sets foundation by absorbing excess oil and moisture of the skin, both of which could cause foundation to melt.
