Nummular eczema is a discoid eczema that usually causes itchiness that is easy to recognize due to its lesions or coin-shaped patches on the legs and arms. They are sometimes found in the middle portion of the body. In addition, they may also cause some rusty or oozing skin which looks red, scaly, raw, and inflamed. This condition is common in young adults and old people who suffer from the condition especially in winter and fall than in other times of the year.

What are the types of nummular eczema?

It is the reason why most sufferers want to get rid of nummular eczema fast. This type of eczema does not result from hereditary nor allergies. Although it is not infectious, it can be worsen by bacteria. There are two types of it, the wet and dry nummular eczema. The dry type is common winter which commonly results to non-itchy round patches; whereas the wet type is the one producing blistered or crusted patches on its sufferers.

Like other types of eczema, there are also roots of it which you must know in order to find out solutions for it. Here are some common causes of it which include reaction to topical irritants, atopic dermatitis in children, winter dermatitis, staphylococcal infection’s complication, chemical or physical injury, allergic reactions to hair removal creams and aloe, irritation on mercury and other irritants, dry skin, alcohol intake, side effects of medication, and too much stress.

  • Sufferers have to avoid irritants by all means in order to alleviate the signs and symptoms of this disease. They have to stay away from triggers causing the worsening of their eczema.
  • Take care of your skin as small or minor injuries can also result to nummular eczema. Use gloves or other protective tools to free your body from any injury.
  • Stay away from solvents, chemicals, detergents, and other chemicals causing your eczema.
  • Place a compress to the affected parts of your body during the early stages to prevent the rash from developing.

  • Use moisturizers on your skin, but avoid oils and lotions as they may just worsen your case.
  • Take antihistamines based from your doctor’s prescription. This will relieve the itching caused by your eczema.
  • Use herb solutions to get rid of nummular eczema.
  • Stay out of stressful environments while undergoing through some stress management tasks.

Get rid of nummular eczema by controlling and treating your eczema with the above suggested ways which can be continued if the condition has been attempting to reoccur when the treatment method has been stopped. Keep your skin moisturized all the time by applying creams three times a day especially during summer.
