How to avoid baby eczema?

As a mother, you only want the best for your baby and seeing him having a hard time with his eczema is truly breaking your heart. For sure, you worry about the discomfort he is feeling because of his skin disorder.

In the world, the most common sufferers of eczema are babies and it typically starts when they are only 6 months of age. For this reason, you are on the lookout on how to avoid baby eczema. Some symptoms of this condition include patches of red, cracked, or scaly skin. They are commonly evident on your baby’s elbows, face, cheeks, legs, neck, and other extremities. While this condition is often unknown in roots, it is often to be something that comes from heredity.

If you have it for instance, then your kid is likely to develop the same condition due to genetic link. However, you never have to worry if you know the ways on how your baby can stay away from the curse.

Care on Food front

Babies can develop this outbreak from food causes, so watch out on the foods you feed your baby with especially that you are starting to introduce him to new food as he grows. Wait for five days after introducing new food to your baby before you feed him with another type to see if he doesn’t have any allergic reaction to the food you first introduced him with.

Avoid feeding him with the same food if it caused allergic reaction to him. If his milk formula is the source of allergies, then consult your doctor about it. Your doctor will recommend a new milk formula for your baby, and this is another way on how to avoid baby eczema.

Stay away from Irritants

Take your baby away from irritants such as excessive heat, harsh chemicals, and others which may cause allergic responses from him. In order to keep him safe, wash his clothes using mild detergents without any fragrance. Do not also expose him on smoke coming from vehicles and cigarettes.

Skin care

It is another way on how to avoid baby eczema. In order to do it, wash your baby with a mild soap that is especially designed for infants like him. After giving him a bath, provide him with an infant massage using a moisturizing lotion. In addition, you can also add some hydrocortisone cream on the lotion if your baby has eczema.

Bleach to avoid eczema in Babies

Based from a new study, adding half cup of bleach on your baby’s bath is also a helpful way on how to avoid baby eczema. Let your baby soak in tub with bleach for about 10 minutes. This will help clear up and avoid eczema on your baby. However, you should discuss it with your doctor before trying it.

These are the ways on how to avoid baby eczema that you can apply in order to keep your precious child away from this skin disorder. As an advice, you also have to consult your doctor especially in dealing with child eczema because they are sensitive ones who need utmost care and safety.

Fitness Tip

It is important to realize that feeling thirsty is like a red flag - it means you are already dehydrated by at least 2% of your body weight. You should not wait until you get into this state before topping up.

Beauty Tip

The 100-strokes rule of hair brushing has its roots in necessity. Before hair conditioners were invented, women relied on hair’s sebum to moisturize strands – getting the sebum from hair’s root to hair’s tips required vigorous brushing.
