Forever Living Aloe vera

For over 6,000 years, people have benefited from the remarkable relief that the plant can bring to a wide range of ailments and the virtues of Aloe vera have been recorded for thousands of years by many ancient civilizations, including Egypt, Persia, Greece, India and Africa.

Aloe, is native to East and South Africa and is grown in most subtropical and tropical locations, including Latin America and the Caribbean. The Spanish carried Aloe From Europe to the New World in South America and the Caribbean Aloe barbadensis was introduced to the West Indies at the beginning of the 16th century. Aloe was used extensively by American herbalists in the 18th and 19th centuries. Aloe was used by the Ancient Greeks, Arabs and Spaniards and is still used by hunters in Africa to reduce perspiration and body scent.

The fresh gel was used by Cleopatra to keep her skin soft and young. The ancient Egyptians used Aloe to heal battle wounds and cure infections. Old legends say growing an Aloe vera plant in the kitchen will guard against evil, help prevent burns and mishaps while cooking, prevent household accidents.

Just think of the aloe plant as nature’s ancient wonder-drug. This little plant has so many medicinal qualities, it’s hard to believe that it can do so much. Many people keep an aloe plant in the house, for easy use in the treatment of skin problems. But the aloe plant can actually do much, much more.

It is an efficient herb for treating bruises, small and medium sized cuts and stomach related diseases and burns.

In fact, there are many advantages of aloe Vera plant. This herb is beneficial to improve the immune system.

Its uses now have been established for various applications. Some of the common uses include its use as energy drinks as it contains lot of polysaccharides, its use as antiseptic for skin care, its use in beauty products and many more.

There are remarkable developments which have been seen such as improvement in the production of tissue and decreased pain. It was also known as Kumari or Goddess as many women were applying aloe Vera to keep their beauty and ageing. This has been utilized for treating burns and injuries since various centuries. A number of writers have founded aloe Vera books.
