Makeup artists will tell you that clear healthy skin is the perfect canvas for makeup.

Face shape determines the style of hair that one should wear - regardless of what you may think...this is true. I have seen many tg people with the wrong hair and it is really obvious.

And also keep in mind your age! If you are older, do not buy a teenage hair style, it just doesn't work. For example: my face is slightly round so straight hair is off limits to me. Any hair style that I pick must have a slightly poofy top and sides, shoulder length.

If you have oily skin, blot away the excess oil by laying either a tissue or one of the face-blotting papers sold by some cosmetics companies over the face and blotting. Perm endpapers also work well. Do this before you do anything else.
