For a fact that is correct in most circumstances, but not necessarily means you skip Yoga if you’re in the office. When you are too busy in the office, finishing reports or presentations, and don’t have time to perform Yoga, still you can do basic poses in your office.

How Can You Do Yoga In the Office?

The effective, quick stretch is a great way to perform Yoga right in your office cubicle, wherein you need not a big space. It is always great to spend 30 minutes or an hour of Yoga in your office. Remember that being in the office is not an excuse to skip Yoga, whereas, Yoga is what you should give time for a couple of minutes while you’re in the office. The neck, wrists, back, legs and shoulders must be stretched even if you are in the office.

Consult Your Doctor

It is always recommended to consult your doctor before starting with any fitness regimen if you don’t want to experience health complications or injuries.

Yoga in the Office: Neutral Posture

It is the most typical Yoga pose that can be done in the office and is known to be the most important position to understand and practice Yoga. This is the most basic Yoga pose that aligns your spine to make it more stable and properly aligned. You can do it even if you’re sitting or standing, it is a pose that will require putting your hips apart and forward facing while looking down the floor. They must be in parallel position and not outward. When you do this on a chair, your heels must sit right on your knees, so they are at right angles with your hips. Be on the edge of the chair, and sit straight. With your rib cage lifted, your shoulder must be rolled back to open your chest. Hold this pose for 1-2 minutes and relax on your shoulders.

Yoga in the Office: Abdominal Breathing

Next stop for our Yoga in the office is the abdominal breathing which will take only a few minutes of your time, and help you breathe properly. This will help you relieve stress as it aids in the supply of an adequate amount of oxygen all over the body. All you got to do is to inhale with your abs expand like a big balloon, then, slowly contract them by sucking in your belly as you push out air. Have your shoulders in a relaxed position. Repeat the routine several times.

Yoga doesn’t limit us to perform it only at home or in a Yoga studio, but also in the office in between breaks. It is beneficial activities that will help you relieve yourself from pressure and stress at work, thus, assuring your productivity. Try to incorporate Yoga in your office routine to keep you going even on a tough day at work.
