Vaginal Warts Removal - Causes, Picture, Treatment and Symptoms of Warts

Warts are small epidermic growths caused by a virus. These growths vart in size and shapes and are commonly of 3 types:

  1. Plane warts
  2. Common warts
  3. Planter warts

The concept of beauty in the general sense is based on a smooth, silky skin with a smooth texture and color. Blemishes of any kind, sometimes in the form of nevi or warts, are considered ugly. Though some may consider them as "Beauty spots", in general, they are not really welcome.

Causes and symptoms of various types of warts

Plane warts are the simplest of all warts. They are usually small, smooth and skin-colored or brownish lesions which are raised slightly from the skin surface. They usually occur in the face and outer surface of the hands. The most commonly affected are children and young adults.

Common warts are larger and firmer elevations with a rough surface. They usually occur on the hands, forearms, knees and the upper parts of the feet. People usually develop thickening of the skin surface at the weight-bearing area in the sole (planter surface of the feet). Commonly known as corns they are caused by consistent pressure at a particular area which makes the outermost, horny layer of the skin proliferate.

Planter warts are slightly different. They normally contain blood vessels and the surface of the wart, if carefully pared, bleeds because of this. Pain is characteristic of both corns and warts. If you press a corn vertically on the top with a blunt object, it is markedly tender; whereas in planter warts tenderness is felt when pressed from the sides.

Treatment of Warts - How to treat warts?

While seeking treatment for warts, it is important to remember that warts can disappear spontaneously. This is specially true of plane warts in children where the therapy is not only disappointing but may result in scars. It is, therefore, worthwhile waiting for a few years before considering actual treatment of warts in the case of children.

The treatment of warts consists in eliminating them either by chemical lotion or physical means. A peeling agent like 4 per cent sulphur calamine lotion or Retino A cream applied daily, may be all that is needed to remove plane warts.

Treatment of Common warts are best treated by electro-cautery. Under local anesthesia, the warts are removed with a cautery which excises the wart with an electric current while cauterising the site. Alternatively, they can also be scooped out with a curette under local anesthesia, by cauterising the site with electro-cautery. Freezing the wart with liquid nitrogen or carbon-snow is another effective method.

Treatment of Planter warts - it can also be treated by curettage combined with electro-cautery. More conservative methods like application of Salicylic acid in paste form under occlusion daily for two to three weeks may also cure warts.

Warts are simple afflictions, not a threat to life, but they can be quite troublesome and may cripple the smooth running of day to day life, if one is over conscious of them. While there is a slight danger of complications developing in these extra growths of skin, by and large, they are amenable to simple cures.

Fitness Tip

Whatever you're doing do it faster. So if you're washing clothes, folding clothes, vacuuming the house or washing the car, speed it up just a notch. Just don't try it when slicing vegetables!

Beauty Tip

A tinted moisturizer isnt strictly a foundation. Its a moisturizer with a small amount of sheer pigment added. Similarly a tinted sunscreen is a sunscreen with a small amount of sheer pigment added.
