Celex C - The Vitamin C Source

An over-the-counter product that is sold at salons, department stores, and dermatologist's offices, Celex-C is probably the most commercially available form of topical vitamin C.

Vitamin C helps destroy free radicals, the toxic molecules that are formed from sun exposure and cause damage to the skin.

Unfortunately, the skin does not easily absorb topically applied vitamin C.

Both Celex-C and other vitamin C cream manufacturers believe that their formulas facilitate vitamin C penetration.

Research studies have documented that topically applied vitamin C provides sunscreen-like effectiveness in protecting the skin against the rays of the sun.

Thus, when used in conjunction with sunscreens, Celex-C and other similar vitamin C products appear to help protect the skin from sun damage and prevent skin cancer.

Some researchers also believe that Celex-C and related vitamin C products restore a youthful glow to the skin and remove facial wrinkles and other aspects of sun-damaged skin.

However, this particular claim has yet to be supported by clinical tests.
