Dark Circles under Eyes - Causes, Treatment and Home remedy of Dark Circles under Eyes

Why Dark Circles occur under eyes?

Dark circles usually occur as we get older, although some people appear more prone to them than others. They are not the result of sun exposure or an effect from tanning. Scientists do not know what causes these.

Treatment for Dark Circles

However, there are a few treatments dermatologists use to decrease these dark circles; unfortunately, none of these therapies provides the perfect answer. One treatment you may want to try is kogic acid, a brown spot-removing gel. It can be purchased from a dermatologist and is simple to apply. Because kogic acid can be irritating and potentially cause these circles to become darker, you must follow your doctor's specific instructions. Kogic acid takes a few months before a result is seen.

Bleaching creams are another way dark circles can be lightened. Unfortunately, these creams are not usually very effective. Some dermatologists also use vitamin K creams with or without bleaching creams to lighten dark circles under the eyes. Lasers are the newest method used to reduce the prominence of dark circles. In a few small studies, the Alexandrite and Neodymium: Yag lasers were found to reduce dark circles under the eyes significantly. Side effects include temporary bruising and swelling around the eyes.

Fitness Tip

Chiropractic treatment is particularly successful at relieving back pain. Special manipulative techniques bring the back and neck vertebrae into alignment.

Beauty Tip

Make sure your lips have been moisturised, and foundation/powder applied. Outline your shape with a lip pencil in natural or a toning shade to the chosen lipcolour. Apply lipstick with a lipbrush. Then blot by kissing a tissue held between the lips, then reapply more colour. Choose colour tones in either warm or cool tones to suit your complexion.
