BUF PUF - Skin exfoliation using BUF PUF

First introduced about twenty-five years ago, the Buf-Puf is a sponge engineered to exfoliate the skin.

Sold over the counter, the sponge is comprised of polyester fibers, and comes in three different textures.

People who have more sensitive skin are advised to start with the extra gentle texture, while those who have tougher skin can start with the regular texture.

The superiority of the Buf-Puf to other exfoliating procedures, such as over-the-counter glycolic and salicylic acids or facials, has not been proven in scientific studies.

"When used as part of a daily skin-care regimen, however, results, such as smoother skin and texture, can occur.
